It depends on how many fish you have and how old and big they are. I had three decent female cichlids and I many tetra feeding products. If I used the flakes I took a decent size pinch.

I would not recommend mixing Central American and African Cichlids, it may not be a good idea because almost no one knows how they will react to each other and I am pretty sure in one of John's videos he also doesn't recommend it although I do not remeber his reasons.

I suggest Peacocks more specifically OB Peacocks and Firefish Dragon Blood Peacocks, most Peacocks are beautiful and those two are especially beautiful.

I know I want to start breeding African Cichlids more specifically Peacocks, but I cannot decide whether I should get OB Peacock or Firefish Dragon Blood Peacock. Both look really nice. Please give me your suggestions and if you have any advice on breeding either please let me know. Thx.

So I got some new plecos (2) and I was not expecting them to be so small! They are 2 months old and under 2in, and I'm worried they'll get eaten. Is the best place for them a: 5 gallon with 1 baby guppy (Just until they are big enough not to get eaten) A 28 gallon with 3 young firemouths and a small gourami or A 75 gallon with 4 3-4" discus.

I believe that 'snow white' discus are called so because of the lack of stress bars and have white eyes. Their face and fins can have faint hues of color. I've not heard of a food pigment causing problems with any fish, however if your feeding quality food you won't have any issues at all. Even feeding Omega One Super color flakes, with all the colors of the flakes, won't cause you any problems.
